"My family had the pleasure to meet and work with Kristina beginning in 2016 when our oldest daughter was turning two years old. We had her screened through Developmental Pathways and at two years old she only said four words. As parents we were frustrated, worried and completely unaware how to help her. Then we met Kristina – a highly skilled, creative and brilliant teacher. She began working with our daughter and us once a week.
Kristina did an excellent job balancing how to engage and teach our daughter, while also teaching us as parents what we need to be doing everyday to help our daughter progress. She also helped manage our expectations as parents to be patient and trust the work being put in daily would pay off. One surprising aspect of the process is it wasn’t “work” for our daughter – it was all play! Kristina came with creative and fun ways to incorporate all her teachings that we then could replicate ourselves. And sure enough, several months later our daughter had become a chatterbox! From saying 4 words to speaking 5 word plus sentences. After months of consistent work with Kristina and her guidance at home, it was like a switch turned on. We continued to work with Kristina another year to fine-tune more of our daughter’s speech as she continued to grow. After working with Kristina, our daughter didn’t need to be in a classroom program with any special teachers/classes/attention. Her speech was all caught up and on point! Because of this time with her we were able to then help our youngest daughter at an early age develop good speech since we now understood the development and teaching process as parents.
Over the years, we learned so much from Kristina not just because she’s a fantastic teacher but she’s also an incredible, loving mother to her own children. Kristina changed our lives as parents and quite literally taught our daughter to speak. We will always be grateful she came into our lives.
