Kristina Igel M.S. CCC-SLP

I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas Graduate Program in 2005 and immediately accepted a position at the Arkansas School for the Deaf. It was there I had the opportunity to work with children ages 3-9 who were Deaf or Hard of Hearing. After 3 years of working at the school I took on the position of a stay at home mom to my two wonderful daughters. After relocating to Parker, CO in 2011, I accepted a position at Children's Hospital Colorado working in the outpatient department with the Cochlear Implant team as one of the signing therapists. I was fortunate enough to work with an amazing group of ladies who helped shape and advance my skill set. After working there for 6+ years, and loving every minute of it, I made the decision to transition over to in-home Early Intervention Services. The birth to three population, I've found, is my niche and it was then, in 2017, KMI Therapy, LLC was born. I consider myself fortunate to have worked in various settings with different populations, however, the personal connection found within families' homes is powerful. Getting to see my "kids" in their natural setting helps to shape my approach which often leads to faster progress.
